According to Dr. Blyden, Koindu has light poles as of 2 weeks ago. The original national plan of 2010, was for only main district headquarter towns to have lights installed but as a result of a special Presidential intervention, the town of Koindu was given solar powered light poles in strategic places like hospital, schools, police station.... Guinea Road, on the way to Koindu, enjoys a few poles.

She later reiterated that, in the proposed next phase of the solar lights project, without a doubt, Dia, Kangama and Buedu will be included.

The Kissi areas have been deprived of a lot due to the ravages of war... Kissi land needs all hands on deck to speedily restore its glory. Under President Koroma, the political will is there to do just that.
